Appointment of Interim Chief Officer

 

The Board of Action Deafness today announced the appointment of Jim Robertson as the Interim Chief Officer (CO), who will be taking up post on the 1st January 2018.

 

Craig Crowley MBE will take up secondment role as the CEO of Royal Association for Deaf People for six months starting on 1st January 2018.

 

Jim Robertson, who is the current Finance Manager, will temporarily head up the Senior Management Team to continue Craig’s excellent work.

 

The Senior Management Team will include Jim Robertson, Nigel Cleaver and Stuart Harrison. Nigel Cleaver is the Head of Interpreting who has been with the organisation for the last five years. He has overseen the steady growth and development of new interpreting contracts throughout the UK.

 

Stuart Harrison, Head of Community, who joined the organisation in November 2017, will be responsible for delivering Community Services and maintaining links with YOUchoose partners.

 

Karen Read, Joint Chair, said: “On behalf of the Board, I would like to wish Craig well in his temporary CEO role at the Royal Association for Deaf People (RAD).

 

“Jim and the SMT have the support of the Board and I am happy that they will continue to deliver high quality services for the next six months.”
