Action Deafness is a growing, deaf-led charitable company providing Communications Interpreting Services; and Community & Personal Care & Support Services across the UK.
Action Deafness is a CQC registered, ISO 9001 (quality management), ISO 27001 (information & security) & National Living Wage accredited organisation and NRCPD (National Registers for Communication Professionals working with Deaf and Deafblind people) compliant.
The Board of Directors (Trustees) oversees the governance of Action Deafness and meets four times a year in Leicester & Derby.
We are seeking two new Trustee Directors to join the Board which comprises of Joint Chairs, a Vice-Chair and four Board members. Currently 75% of its Board members are Deaf or have a hearing loss.
There are two potential roles for which we are seeking applications:
- General Trustee
For this role, previous experience as a Trustee would be desirable, as would meeting the Person Specification (as set out in the application pack).
- Trustee with additional role of Treasurer
