Action Deafness is an innovative and Deaf-led charity and, together with Deaf Direct as a local Deaf charity, we aim to create a big impact!
You will be largely based in Worcester and manage a small but growing delivery team with centres in Worcester, Hereford and Oxford.
We require someone who is a confident self-starter with demonstrable experience of leading teams to success, delivering a project through to completion and building relationships with partners and stakeholders. (You must be able to demonstrate examples of this and we will obtain references). We are looking for someone with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to nurture new and existing partnerships. The role also requires an eye for detail but also big picture perspective, you are able to determine needs within the joint organisation and work with team members to solve problems as they arise. You need to be a critical thinker who can analyse situations and make decisions geared towards the joint organisation’s best interests.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and a passion for creating change. Strong people management skills are critical.
You will be part of Senior Management Team, reporting directly into our Action Deafness CEO, and must be able to communicate how project outcomes are being met and innovate new approaches to working and delivering services.
You must have a full driving licence and use of a vehicle to travel between all our sites which are across The Midlands (Loughborough), Herefordshire and Oxfordshire.
