Jackie is Deaf and is the Associate Director leading the Equality and Inclusion agenda for NHS Greater Manchester Integrated Care Board (ICB). Jackie previously led SignHealth (Deaf Health Charity) as their Chair for 6 years. She has an extensive background in combating discrimination and has been involved with various disability rights organisations.

Alison is profoundly Deaf. She is the Sensory Team Leader for the Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. Alison founded DEAFvibe (Staffordshire) and has been a Trustee for 13 years. She is an experienced leader in health & social care for Deafness, Sight Impairment & Deafblindness.

Clare is deaf and qualified as a Chartered Management accountant with experience in the commercial field. She currently works for a large housing association, focusing on the development of housing; she developed a strong social ethos and advocates for the deaf community to have ease of access to a range of services without any obstacles. Recently, she has six years of experience as a Trustee for SignHealth.
Action Deafness would like to thank Signapse who hove kindly translated our home page. Signapse are a team of Deaf and hearing people; entrepreneurs, engineers and researchers. They build artificial intelligence solutions for clients who want access to sign language translation and interpretation.
Alison is profoundly Deaf and has significant experience in the areas of deafness, disability, discrimination & equality. She was also the first ‘Deaf’ person to qualify as an Audiologist in the NHS in England & Wales.
