Take action and learn new skills with AD Knowledge
AD Knowledge for business
With over 10 million Deaf, Deafened and hard of hearing people in the UK, every organisation needs to understand effective customer service and how to create an inclusive working environment.
The Equality Act of 2010 places a duty on all organisations providing services or performing public functions to make ‘reasonable adjustments’ where a disabled person is at a substantial disadvantage when using its services. Proactive organisations will be aware of this and have adequate provision and processes in place to ensure they offer suitable access.
Our specialist team can provide comprehensive advice and Deaf Awareness and British Sign Language training at competitive prices. This bespoke training can enhance your organisation and help you to offer an inclusive, accessible environment for your staff and customers.
The right training can enable your organization to meet its corporate social responsibility objectives which can foster a positive image among employees, customers and the community at large.
British Sign Language (BSL)
We deliver bespoke non-accredited British Sign Language short courses which offer a flexible approach to learning BSL. The course can be a single session or a series of sessions and the content can be adapted to include work based terminology unique to your organisation’s business needs.
The Introduction to BSL course develops signing skills and builds confidence for greeting and communicating with deaf people.
All sessions are facilitated by a native BSL user (a deaf person) and a Certificate of Attendance can be awarded to all participants.
Our team is on hand to answer any questions you may have. To book Deaf Awareness training or BSL courses please call us on 0116 2533202 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
