We offer personalised, one-to-one support to help you achieve your employment goals.
Our specialist team is here to support you. Most of our team are Deaf and fluent in British Sign Language (BSL) with understanding of Deaf culture, and lived experience. This unique expertise allows us to provide truly tailored and effective employment support.
We provide guidance on:
Effective job searching: Learn strategies and access resources to find suitable job opportunities.
Supporting job applications: Get assistance with preparing impactful job applications.
Creating a strong CV: We will guide you in developing an impactful CV that highlights your skills.
Providing connections to employment resources: Access valuable networks and information to aid your job search.
Interview preparation: Get advice and practice to build confidence for job interviews.
Workplace adjustments: We will help you understand how to get the support you need at work, like Access to Work funding.
Understanding your rights: Learn how your rights are protected by the Equality Act 2010, which requires employers to make reasonable adjustments to ensure equal opportunities.
Advocating for inclusive workplaces: We empower you to advocate for Deaf-friendly practices and reasonable adjustments (e.g. communication support, assistive technologies), as required by the Equality Act 2010. We also offer Deaf Awareness Training and BSL taster sessions for employers and can assist with booking communication support in the workplace.
