Hubs Connect

Connecting Deaf communities across the UK

Hubs Connect brings Deaf, Deafblind and Hard of Hearing people together to socialise, access support and feel part of a welcoming community, reducing isolation, building confidence and creating lasting connections.

Kwame's Story

Arriving in the UK from Ghana, one Deaf attendee felt isolated with limited BSL. The local Hub became a lifeline, offering BSL learning, friendships, new skills, and boosted confidence. Now a thriving community member, he even joined a local Deaf football team.

Mary's Story

"Going to the hubs means I get access to information that I might otherwise miss. I get useful information from the speakers, and it helps me feel more confident"

Lynn's Story

"Being part of the community is such a nice feeling, and I'm glad that the hubs let me keep this sense of community"
