Case Study: Finding community and confidence

One Deaf attendee from Ghana found the Hub to be such a great benefit to him. When he came to the UK, he felt isolated and didn't know much BSL. Our Hub in the area offered him the chance to not only learn BSL, but also to make friends, pick up new skills, and build his confidence. With our support and encouragement, he is now a thriving member of the local community, and has even joined a local Deaf football team.
